Who would've thought the director of the 3 "Lord of the Rings" movies directed this revolutionary adult puppet film before he started to look at hobbits for ideas? This movie is both funny and insulting to the puppet world. Kermit + Miss Piggy never had it as rough as Betch + Heidi. Many moments are freaking hilarious, like the borax scene(Dennis the Anteater melting from sniffing it wasn't extremely funny, but it was when they force-fed it to the wolf puppet who sold it to them in the 1st place). My favorite subplot is Winyard and his Vietnam+drugs structure. The funniest character is Sebastian the Fox,his lines are hilarious("Thank you everybody, you all MUTILATED THAT NUMBER RATHER NICELY!" is one of my favorites) and his "Sodomy" number is one of the highlights of this entire movie. As for the grossness,I'm more repulsed at some of the hidious puppet design rather than the gross things they do(a nondescript metrosexual poodle with a cottony mustache urks me more than a fly eating poop with a spoon). My last word is that you'll feel both good and bad after seeing this. |
