Gia Marie Carangi, born in 1960, became the first supermodel to explode on the scene in 1980. She was beautiful, passionate, wild, agressive, and openly gay. This movie is the true story down a very deep and rocky path of this super Diva. The sex scenes are intense, the drug use is harsh and the reality is touchingly shocking as you watch this movie, and you sit and relate to some part of this woman. The movie takes you deeper and deeper into a personality you feel you are part of, but are scared to become. This is a story with love, hatred, pain, joy, and many other emotions. Gia is superbly acted by Angelina Jolie, who captivates the true escence that the real Gia once had. I recomend you grab some tissues and prepare to watch one hell of a movie. Bottom Line: This is a brilliant movie and its genuinly touching from all angles. |
