so yea here's a review of meltdown, or as the original title in hong kong was, high risk. this movie is basically just a crazy action movie, gun fire,explosions, martial arts fighting. it has it all. the story, even though not that good, does try in some areas, like Jet Li's character's past witht he bad guy, and that did bring in some depth to the character. other than that, this is one of my favorite kung fu movies of all time, true, maybe kung fu isnt used and also guns are also used, but I DONT CARE!!! so if you are looking for an exciting kung fu movie, hong kong style, get HIGH RISK, not meltdown, cause even though i havent seen the american dubbed over version, it probably cut out some of the scenes and changed osme of the dialogue that made the original so great. |
