Great kids film!

Great kids film that adults would enjoy watching too! Loved the visuals, the inventive language and characters like the New Orleans "Canaligator." The plot is a love story following two rats, the boy, a poor environmentally minded brave rat, the girl, a highbrow New Yorker, whom we follow through a maze of situations.
The film is a really inventive combination of live action, low tech string puppets, and high end Hollywood special effects. The string puppets were created by the "Famous in Germany" Augsberger Puppenkiste and the live actors, (Beverly D'Angelo, Lauren Hutton, Jerry Stiller, etc.) were really integrated into the compelling story.
Recommend for kids around 4-10 years old... |
