A classic 'rags to riches' story Jamaican style. I just messed around and taped it one night off my movie channel and it became one of my all-time favorites. When you look for technical merit (storyline, acting, producing, realism, etc...,) This movie gives it to you. If you other people want high-budget, box-office, over-the-top, oscar-tinted stuff, go somewhere else. If you like films w/any indie feel, you will definetely like this one. A story about dancehalls, in Jamaica, and there was no overt nudity in this film, and I LOVED it. With me, that usually does not happen. That alone speaks volumes about this production. A definite must see. |
