Even before i actually saw the movie, that is just watching the previews i knew this was going to be one of those movies which was "gonna stick" in your mind for ever. The most memorable element of the movie was the fact that it brought two complete and distinctive subjects (science and religion) altogether to revive a wounderous sense we all carry within ourselves, one which many are scared to open and many oversee, curiosity. Even before i saw this movie i always believed that we weren't alone, and no matter how intelligent or underdeveloped "they" are we are some how connected, and that connection's the one that will somedday help explain those questions in life to which there's not even a beginning to an answer. These actors portrayed their roles as if it was their own lives they were playing, and the outstanding visual effects gave us an idea to how "small and insignificant we all are" in this vast world of rocks, interstellar dust, and imagination. This movie opened a world (at least to myself) of new visions and beliefs that instead of trying to cover or alter to accept society's expectations, they should be celebrated and inspired to grow, since in there is where our answers lie. This movie is not a sci-fi, but a drama with life's answers, and please don't just watch it, "watch it!" because like every good movie you have to dig deep to the words meanings to really understand it. The only thing i regret from it is the fact that it was all made belief, and that there's no proof of its main message, that we're not alone... |
