Best of the OUATIC series?

Well before i started aggressively watch HK movie i already saw most if not all of the Wong Fei Hung movie play by Jet Li. Well after more than 2 years didn't watch this i fought it was time to watch again since i didn't watch a good movie lately.
Plot: In this movie Jet Li, who play Wong Fei Hun, has to deal with 2 baddies. The first is a cult clan call White Lotus, where their goal is to kill and attack any foreigner. Which mean that include Aunt Yee (who love Wong Fei Hung). Well while at a medical convention, where all the western doctor meet with eatern doctor. Wong Fei Hung meet and make friend with one of the rebel. This mean he have to deal with the government, who is led by Donnie Yen. There a insurgance of rebel activist and he must capture that doctor.
The ending fight between Donnie Yen and jet Li is consider one of the best and memoriable kung fu scene.
After viewing it, it probably didn't have the same greatness has the first time watching it. Though it was still very entertaining and i understand the plot better. Though there was one part of the movie i still didn't understand but hopefully someone will clarify. The fight scene was awesome and very enjoyable to watch, too bad they don't make those kind of movie anymore (has Jet Li and other people get old and no one to replace). Also Donnie Yen in this movie is not really a bad guy, he is just very loyal to his government. In one night Wong Fei Hung must have had to fight like 5-6 times, which show some unrealistic part. The only part i found to be stupid, is his lack of the western world but yet he still think he know a lot.
The movie was nominated for a lot of award but only won 2. Would i say is the best WOng Fei Hung Jet Li has act... no i think Last Hero in China was better. |
