Forget all about (most) of Madonna's other films. Yes, she made a handful of movies that are good, but this is the one that actually won her a Golden Globe for Best Actress. Yes, she did, folks! And what's more is that she deserved it! Actually a two hour music video, Madonna portrays Eva Peron to the TEE. And she beat out none other than Meryl Streep for this part. Madonna IS Eva Peron, and her singing has never been better with Andrew Lloyd Webber's sublime musical score. Antonio Banderas also shines in this fantastic adaptation of the life and death of a Goddess. |
