I really liked this movie. Putting aside the fact that the score was written by none other than Andrew Lloyd Webber, it was a very good movie with good music that is well applied to the scene. Although the movie can be a bit boring at some scenes, I stand by my decision in giving it an A-. I think Antonio Banderas was absolutely perfect as Che, and this movie was made in Madonna's prime, so she was also very good in the role of Evita Peron. I have not yet experienced the joy of the stage production, but I can say without further ado that if I ever do get the chance I would watch it with an open mind, due to this movie's hit. It is also a very under-rated movie to me. |
