I must say that this is one of my favorite movies of all time. Origionally seeing it only to gawk at Tom Cruise, I soon realized that there was much more to this movie than good looks. I am amazed at how Cameron Crowe was able to combine all the elements of a good movie without it seeming cheesy. This film has something for everyone; a love story, a sports story, a tale of growth...
Not only is the story great, but the acting, too! I never realized how talented Renee Zellweger is. I have much respect for her now, and am suprised she was not up for an Academy Award for her performance. Jonathan Lipnicki is cute as can be, and brings a sense of attachment to the characters in the movie. Of course Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. are excellent as well, but I think that's pretty much a given. Every one of the actors had good chemistry with one another.
I love this movie. The acting is amazing, the story is wonderful, and you get sucked in from the minute it starts. Funny and charming, Jerry Maguire is one of my favorite movies ever! |
