Sayles waeves a magic tapestry

Just an unbelievabley layered story that takes place in both the past and present. John Sayles border town modern western, whodunit, love story is in a class by itself. Even the seemingly unimportant players and their stories all tie together. Chris Cooper should have won an oscar for this long before Adaptation.
