A masterfully written, acted and directed movie, this is John Sayle's best. Multiple topics covered well, this will be a enduring and timeless reflection of America as a melting pot. This movie has so many subletites that it takes multiple viewing to fully appreciate it.
The director uses lines and transitions to tell the story. The first viewing may seem overly long, but each subsequent study demonstrates how the multiple characters are linked to an ongoing theme. And as a bonus, there are 2 knockouts at the end of the movie!! |
