This is my absolute favorite Chris Cooper movie. Now well known for quiet yet intense emotions, he nails this characteristic in this role. For those of you out there with deep, complicated family roots, this story weaves its spell around you slowly until you are just completely engrossed. Every actor nails their part, but none better than Cooper, who merely with a short soulful glance tells you everthing he's feeling, because you feel it too. One of my all time favorite films. |
