This may be one of the strangest movies ever produced, but that isn't a bad thing. What if M.C. Escher and Peter Sellers had gotten together to make a movie? This is what it would have been like. A quirky mixture of the sublime, the slick, the sinister, and the silly. Other than princess YumYum, the whole thing just works. Just in case the visual appeal of the animation isn't enough, the theif's monologues are preceless. You will laugh out loud the third and tenth time you watch this, even if your kids are in the room. We quote several lines on a regular basis... "gotta get the ruby off the fat guy's head." |
