i like edward burns and i think this is quite possibly one of the best films he has directed. the humour is always on the mark and it makes for a nice adult comedy as opposed to the teenage aimed films e.g 'she's all that'.
the film has a likable cast who throw 100% at the roles, cameron diaz shows great promise in this.
the film is about relationships and the family of edward burn's character. its good to see a cast that works, there isn't anyone letting the story down.
if you are looking for something to watch with the better half then i highly recommend this film. others could take a chance cause it is still very funny. great for a night in |
