OK, so here's the deal. Our hero, Vinnie Barbarino, did a movie in 1976 called "Carrie". In that movie, the girl, who never had a career afterwards, had "Strange and Mysterious Powers" that resembled telekinesis but was spelled differently.
Anyway, in this film classic, Vinnie has cool powers too. Unfortunately, those powers will eventually kill him. Ooops! Did I give away the ending? Well, so what, it's Vinnie and it's worth watching just because he's in it.
Do you think he'll ever reunite with the Sweathogs and release a new album? That would be cool! They could tour with gang from WKRP!
Back to the movie - Vinnie, who's "acting", which is just a fancy word for pretending, I often criticize, is really good in this one. Even better - the god of American acting, Robert Duvall is in this one, and he hasn't made a bad movie since Days of Thunder. |
