The fourth movie in the Hellraiser series (if I'm not mistaken). In this one we are introduced to an Aliens style homage where a sci-fi space military team crack down on a huge abandoned ship. They find a lone man who tries to tell them the story of the puzzlebox and how it relates to his family through the generations.
Though the movie couldn't tell if it wanted to be horror or sci-fi (sometimes that mix is done well, other times like this one it's almost like oil and water), it was a visual delight. Don't try to compare it to the first two (in my opinion the best two) films of the series... take it all in stride (It could be worse... koff koff Hellraiser: Hellseeker koff koff).
The best additon was the character Angelique who was the summoned demon given the form of a sexy woman, and then turned Cenobite (though she wasn't given enough screen time in Cenobite form). |
