I had to write only because the b+ average pisses me off. Are you kidding? This movie is one of the best films ever made. The acting is amazing. Some of the shots are mind blowing - like the shot of Jerry walking across the parking lot to his lone car - and the COMEDY! I will laugh my ass off ever time I see the scene with the old friend from High School and Marge in the restaurant - it doesn't get funnier than that. The writing in this film is unmatched by anything written since and the music was terrific. B+!!!! is an insult. This movie deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as The Godfather's I and II, One Flew Over..., Silence of the lambs, Empire of the Sun, The Color Purple, American Beauty, The Insider and others. Being it is essentially and brilliantly a comedy where as those are all dramas, makes it the best comedy ever written. A+ |
