Sense and Sensibility is the best film that was ever adapted from Jane Austen's classic novel. With superb acting, excellent visuals and memorable music, Sense and Sensibility is simply a worthy and wonderful film for your DVD collection. The cast absolutely shines, bringing a solid basis for the story and spectacular acting throughout the whole film. Compared to the other Jane Austen adaptations except BBC's 1995 Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility is the most faithful to the original novel and also the more interesting. Emma Thompson's brilliant screenplay is full of romance and sadness but never straying too far from light comedy...and happiness. Sense and Sensibility is highly reccomended, a film worthy to win an Oscar for Best Picture. |
