Rock n Roll!

Some big shot movie reviewers like Danny Peary say that The Girl Can't Help It is the greatest rock n roll flick of all time but in terms of pure musical talent, I like this one better! It's about an evil glowing green globe called the Loc Nar that speaks tales that you would normally see in a typical Heavy Metal rag with an equally heavy voice just like James Earl Jones baratoned Darth Vader! Just like in the Heavy Metal rag, the nekkid women have exaggerated front and back like a glorified cartoon version of Playboy! Most of the tunes are classic hard rock (some of the best music ever made as I recall when I was growing up) although a few of the tunes are offbeat and cheesy (Journey's power ballad, Open Arms and Devo's Through Being Cool and Working in the Coal Mine). The best part is when Den has a chance to gain power but he forfeits his power and all he cares about is getting some more nooky from his new hawt babe! The ending is great when we see yet another hawt babe with lots of t&a dispatching with evil men for revenge at whim! My old Sony VHS tape has some great trailers (City of Lost Children and Crumb). Also, my VHS tape has a Heavy Metal sequence that was cut called "Neverwhere Land". |
