This movie is not just an action flick, it has several characters all with subplots. It's an action movie that is also a drama.
The contrast of the characters is obvious. One cop is chasing his career at the expense of his wife. His wife is chasing her dream of having a stable husband at home at the expense of her own child.
The robber who had been successful in his craft got tired of chasing after another heist and wanted to have a stable life with a woman.
Al Pacino did his usual stuff, I won't call it good acting because he always made the character look like himself in all his movies. The tone of the voice, the shouting, the gestures are always the same.
Rober Denero was good, but more or less the same.
I have to say Val Kilmer was the best actor in this movie, he played the young out of luck thug so convincingly, you completely forgot he was the sam person in Batman.
Go see it for yourslef. |
