All eyes on Nick Cage as he steals the show in this riveting drama based on the exploits of a man at the end ofhis rope. He finds solace at the bottom of a liquor bottle hoping the end all is the cure. He meets a call girl who finds he is more pitiful than she is. They establish an oddball relationship of mutual tolerance. Unfortunatley the inevitable occurs. He spirals deeper into alcoholism until his demise. Well deserved oscar went to Cage in a role I sometimes wish he would revisit. |
