This film kept me sitting on the couch throughout it without so much as a popcorn or bathroom break. Deniro, Pesci, & Stone give stellar performances as the mobsters & the hustler. You would actually believe that Pesci is a sociopath if you didn't know better. When Deniro & Stone fight, the hatred & anger seem real. The story about Vegas going from Tangiers to corporations is absolutely fascinating, & as much as I love Vegas, I have to agree that it is much like Disneyworld these days. I wish I could have been there in the old days before the greed brought the house of cards down. |
