I had seen the movies back when they came out, however now that I am a parent, watching kid movies takes a new meaning! I was leery if my son would make it through 2hrs and 50 mins of movie time. The only movie he has made it through without any coaxing has been WALL-E, others I have had to walk out, return on a different day, etc. Toy Story is a great deal, 2 movies, 3-D for the price of one!!! Nonetheless, worries aside, I gave it a shot. I am so glad we did! To see my son's face light up as Buzz Lightyear and Woody played across the screen, priceless. Due to his sensory issues, I was not always able to laugh as heartily as I normally do, he gets scared when people or I laugh too loud, worse if its in the dark. However, he caught on to many jokes and was making many inferences from what he was watching, which was priceless. Pixar undoubtedly makes the best kids movies, and not only that, they are perfect for adults, and they come without the double entendres that movies from other animated production companies come with. Nice thing about the double feature setup was that they had an 10 min intermission to allow kids to stretch, bathroom, food run between both showings. This was excellent for us! I loved Toy Story 1/2 when it first came out,and I love it even more now. Looking forward to Toy Story 3. Seriously, in my opinion, Pixar has it all figured out! |
