i can't believe it took me this freakin long to review this movie. this has got to be one of the sweetest and cleanest love stories that i've seen in so long. this movie is also alright to watch for family night. there is kissing, but nothing to hot and heavy and just downright raunchy. oh no. it's sweet. makes you think of those old 40s romance movies. sigh. anyways, there is one sexual moment. nothing to riscue. keanu reeves stars as a man returning from the 2nd world war. he comes home to his wife. he married her right before he set off for war. she didn't know he was returning. she gets him a job selling chocolates. door to door. yeah that really sucks. so he gets on the bus. on that bus is the one woman bound to be his destiny. ok that was a little dramatic, but the woman is really on the bus. she starts getting harassed by some men. of coarse keanu being the hero and nice guy that he is, beats them up. they get kicked off the bus. she is pregnant by her professor. she can't tell her father. old world man that he is. so keanu again being the hero and nice guy that he is promises to pose as her husband for one day and then leave in the middle of the night. you get the jest. he ends up staying longer than he's suppose to. then love starts blooming. sounds sweet. yes it is. a great movie for anyone. |
