To be honest, I don't think much of Steven Segal, I think he's a shallow actor who can kick alot of ass and do alot of cool stunts but his performance is not all that great, but some of his movies are pretty good, Under Siege 2 being one of them, he's just like Arnold Shwacen....whatever, he's not that great of an actor but he's popular because, he can kick ass, and because of his style and personality in roles, such as "I'll be Back" in the Terminator series, people loved that. Anyway about Under Siege 2. Fast, adrenaline-pumping action all the way through, good cast, great villians, and an exceptionally good performance from Segal, here he kicked alot of ass, yet he was still stylish and a little cocky at some point, I thought he was great in this movie, basically, the story is your average terrorist movie, but with a twist. It does have a point and a story behind it, which is rare for a terrorist movie. Acting was good for an action thriller, Steven Segal did good as Ex-Navy Seal Casey Ryback, returning his second time around. There are really two main villians in the movie, but the overall villian would have the be the gray-haired guy (can't recall his name) he does an excellent job playing a tough guy, however the fight scene in the end between him and Segal was great, but kinda goofy too some point, it went by too fast and the bad guy puts up a good fight in the beginning but then kinda gives up torwards the end, just grabbing anything he can to use as a weapon, while Segal is using his freakin hands, this guy here has a huge knife and still manages to get killed, a great fight scene, but all I'm saying is that he should've given Segal a harder time than that if he was as much of a bad-ass as he made himself sound. I guess it's time to wrap it up, Under Siege 2 is a fast-paced action thriller with a good cast, lots of stunts, my favorite one being the scene of Segal leaping from the truck on the cliff just before if flies of a 200 ft. drop and lands in the water. I haven't seen the original Under Siege yet, so I can't say that part 2 is better or worse, but I can say that it's one of Steven Seagal's better movies, one that you should see if your a fan of action movies!
