I absolutly loved this movie. I think that the introduction of puzzles proved to be a brillant idea and give hats off to the writer and director of the film. I also give the casting director a thumbs up, after adding Mr. Jackson and Mr. Irons to the plot. The introduction of these new elements provided the movie with a greater intelligence that the second Die Hard lacked. Don't get me wrong I thought Die Hard 2: Die Harder was an excellent movie, with its action scenes and continuing hilarious humor from Bruce Willis. The only thing I think this movie was lacking was the Christmas ending. I always enjoyed seeing the car pull away to Bing Crosby, but I guess there would be no school, meaning the police would not be on a wild goose chase and the movie would have to be rewrote. Well I guess that it is just my opinion, but I thought the movie overall provided a similarity to the original of re-inventing the action genre by using more intelligent plot lines and twists that once again show Hollywood that some of its action movies have fallen into traps of mindless explosions. |
