Pulp Fiction is a rare film that director Quentin Tarantino knew would be a favor to it's viewers. If Tarantino is now conceided about his filmmaking, then I can assure you, he's earned that right. Pulp Fiction gives us something to laugh about, even when the situation isn't laughable. How is that even possible. Half the time, when directors do dark comedies, such as Pulp Fiction, they fail miserably. I wince at the thought that they will never get as raw and raunchy as this wonder 1994 film.

This film contains three stories, where Quentin Tarantino and Roger Avery wrote some amazing dialog that earned both of them the Academy Award for best Original Screenplay.

The first story is about Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) who set out to take care of a few rats. When arrived to the scene they find a few kids who have f^@ked over Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames). Now these kids need to be taught a lession, and believe me... do they ever. They get lectured by a wonderful quote in the bible that is delievered PERFECTLY by Samuel L. Jackson himself.

The second story is about Marsellus Wallace's wife, Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) and her date with Vincent Vega (Don't worry, Marsellus wanted this date to happen. No adultery here.) Anywho, they have a wonderful time. They dance their night away, win a trophey, get thrown into a huge panic when Mia accidentally overdoses. It's now up to Vincent to save Mia before she dies, and Marsellus kills him for not watching out for her.

Then the last story is about Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis). He's a boxer who is paid by Marsellus to lose a fight. He gets lots of money, but pride sets in and Butch doesn't want to lose. So, he wins anyway, and the thing about winning when Marsellus himself tells you to lose, is you can bet you're gonna have a lot of people willing to kill you.

The stories are just so wonderfully written and they are entertaining. Knowing that this didn't win for Best Picture made me really upset, because this was a classic from the start. Now, over 13 years later, it's still a hit, and one many top 25 lists. This is one of those films where... if you don't see it, you're missing out. Quentin Tarantino defined a era of movie making and brought us a well to do filmmaker. Amen to that!
