Pulp Fiction. Quentin Tarantino's best work in my humble opinion and one of the greatest films of all time. The film has changed the way that cinema views film and has also inspired many other films/TV Shows. There are so many quotes to work from it is unbelievable! Samuel L Jackson's big break - and what a break it was! He plays Jules Whinnfield alongside John Travolta who plays Vincent Vega - two low-rent assasins working for mob boss Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames). The acting in the film is top-notch and can't be better. All of the actors give peak performance's - Jackson and Travolta along with, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Eric Stoltz, Tim Roth and Quentin Tarantino himself. Also, having only written one film to his previous credit (True Romance) and directed another (Reservoir Dogs) this was Tarantino's second work of direction. A nice script and some stunning camera techniques bring the story, acting and everything else to life. This also sparked much more credentials to Tarantino's arsenal including 'From Dusk Til Dawn', 'Jackie Brown' and the much anticipated 'Kill Bill', which is set to be released later this year. In conclusion, to say Pulp Fiction is good would be an understatement. Pulp Fiction is film making of the highest level, acting of pristine performance's and a story so compelling you'll want to watch the film over and over again. |
