If ever there was a western that could be considered an epic, THE WILD BUNCH is it. This 1969 masterpiece from director Sam Peckinpah concerns itself with aging outlaws whose time has seemingly run out, but who still have a lot of fight left in them. William Holden, Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, and Edmond O'Brien head a brilliant cast in this action classic, punctuated by a pair of extremely violent gunfights that make it still controversial to this day. Not to be missed! |
