Wolfgang Petersen is generally better known as the director for "Das Boot". But the plot in this thriller is far more better... I think he got some introduction in the CDC (Center of Disease Control). Very interesting is the fact that these EBOLA-like virusses can (and probably are already) be used as potential biological weapons of mass destruction. Let us hope that it will not give ideas to Al-Qaeda terrorists, because virusses as SARS are nothing compared to these babies...
Although there is a star cast (Dustin Hoffmann, Rene Russo, Cuba Gooding Jr, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland, Morgan Freeman), the acting is below par for these well-renowned actors. The best actor is in fact the monkey... |
