I absolutely love this movie. All of the actors had such great chemistry between them.
This movie is based around a family's life struggles while the father is off at war. Meg, the conservative sister is played by Trini Alvarado. She is a second mother to all of the sisters and is very mature. Jo, the wild one is played by Winona Ryder. Jo is the main character in this movie. Beth, the fragile sister is played by Claire Danes. Amy, the romantic, at a young age is played by Kristen Dunst and at an older age by Samantha Mathis. Marmee, the mother is played by Susan Saradon. And my absolute favorite character, Theodore Laurence (aka Teddy and Laurie) is played by CHRISTIAN BALE!
The movie is ultimately about these four sisters sharing some of the most cherished and painful memories of self-discovery, as Marmee and their Aunt March guide them through issues of independance, romance, and virtue.
I highly recommend that you see this masterpiece!
