Creepy love story? No, it's something else....

Take a 13 year old girl and and a 40 year old man, who is a hitman, and turn it into a romantic thriller....... That could possibly be the formula for this movie, creepy right? One would think so, but somehow the creepiness gives way to an innocent but touching bond between two characters who are thrown together to the benefit of both. Of course it isn't really a romance between the two, but the characters definitely are in love. All that aside, this movie is full of terriffic acting, dialogue, and action. Gary Oldman, one of the best, plays the part of the demented DEA agent to a T. A very young Natalie Portman is very impressive as the street-wise kid who wins Leon's heart. Jean Reno is excellent as the naive, cold killer who finds something to live for. All in all, this movie is a winner. |
