I'll admit this movie really is quite funny in the beginning, it had me laughing quite a bit. But then 30 or 45min into the movie it just became STUPID. Bill,(played by Nicholas Cage)has two brothers who are just total idiots, and later in the movie they just get annoying and not funny at all. Now personally, i really like movies like dumb and dumber where the characters are "dumb" and do everything wrong. But in this movie i was like "OK..this isnt funny anymore, stop it." Combine that with scenes that are EXTREMELY unrealistic and you have this movie. I'm not one that is very picky about whether or not a movie is realistic, esp. since this is a comedy, but it seemed as though almost every scene the three brothers would make a decision to do something outragously impossible for the three of them to do, and they would get away with it because there isnt even a hint of realistic common sense in any of the situations or characters! i could go on in detail about all the situations and character flaws but i wont spoil it if you decide to see it. But i would not recommend this movie. |
