Anyone who had ever worked in retail & hated it...

Any one who has ever worked in retail - and who firmly believes that the customer is the 'hindrance' of the job rather than the 'purpose' of it - can relate to Randal - the best character in the movie.

Even less ambitious is Dante, who worries more about his personal life than his professional life.

Together, they, along with Dante's current girlfriend, his ex-girlfriend, the drug dealers - namely, Jay and Silent Bob (and their friends), and the customers, make this one of the funniest movies of all time - namely due to the dialogue and the many situations that arise, most of them unexpectantly.

Don't let the fact that the entire movie is shot in Black & White fool you into thinking that it's going to be monotonous and/or mundane.
Congrats Kevin Smith!
