it's amazing to think that this movie was inspired by a Stephen King story. to think that the king of horror inspired a story of such beauty and poignancy is so ironic it hurts. but i digress...Shawshank is the only movie i can recall that actually makes me, a grown man, cry. Tim Robbins is stellar, Morgan Freeman is even better, and the dialogue is museum-quality. I can't say enough good things about this movie. go see it. |
