I am a great fan of game shows and love them.I believe that some people have a greed, and thirst for power and wealth;It was around 1950's Hollywood that our nation was rocked by a television probe.
In "Quiz Show", Turturro plays a former contestant, who shakes the country on its knees by his threat of media rigging and game fixing.He goes against Van Doren(Fiennes).It seems Van Doren lives "high on the hog" so to speak", until conscience gets the best of him.
The investigation charges that the contestants were helped and given answers beforehand.
I believe in the moral of the biblical passage
"the love of money is the root of all Evil". |
