Superb film about the quiz show scams

Quiz show is a very well made film about the scams which used to take place decades ago in the popular quiz shows. The story is interesting and the actors are quite good. Fiennes plays a professor from an intellectually well known family who becomes famous as the winner in the quiz show. His prolonged run has more to do with him getting all the questions beforehand rather than actually being that good. Turtorro plays the jewish person who was a previous winner but was asked to step down purposely. His bitterness on that (especially since what he was promised for doing the above never came about) propels him to spill the beans. An interesting film worth watching. |
