"Ed Wood" is Tim Burton's best film, and it proves that he's not all about makeup and special effects. Johnny Depp, who is probably the finest young actor in movies today, dishes out one of the best performances I've ever seen as Edward D. Wood, Jr., a man who some claim is the worst director of all time. Mr. Burton has fashioned a masterpiece, a wonderful comedy with a heart and a damn good supporting performance from Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi. Thumbs way up, one of the best films of 1994! |
