I can't believe this is a good movie when it was about the worst director, worst movies, and worst special effects of all time. Yet, this is one of the best movies of the 90's.

The story was pretty good, I learned about several things that I didn't even expect to learn, like Bella Lugosi was the first star to enter a rehabilitation center as well as that he was offered to play the part of Frankenstein. I had no idea that the character died at such a young age, or that he wore womens clothing and even their underwear. I didn't believe the dialogue that was said back then, it seemed more modern than it seemed like the 50's.

Johnny Depp does a great performance but at some parts, his voice seemed different. Sarah Jessica Parker also did a really good job. I'm surprised she wasn't nominated for best actress in a comedy series. But no doubt about it, Martin proved his is an actor. He listened to several Hungarian tapes, watched Bella's films (he even noticed that he tried to disguise his thick accent), and studied his character. One thing that impressed me about his performance was that he kept his accent when he screamed at someone. Tom Hanks couldn't even do that in his role as Forrest Gump. I also appreciate how he put on makeup every single time to portrait the character's appearance.

I'm glad that Tim Burton introduced me to this wacky person and that he kept it true and sad. I LOVE that he made laugh at Ed as well as making us feel sorry for him. It was a great character, as well as movie, to enjoy. I would have never known of Ed Wood if it wasn't for Tim. I think that this is one of his best films he has made yet to date. I also love the people he cast.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the look of this film. I like how it has that creepy score, it resembles how Ed tried to make his movies good but they weren't, because the scary music makes you think it will be scary, but it is rather funny. The makeup was really great, there were no flaws. I like how they made the special effects really crappy like he did. The cintemography was excellent as well.

I wish I had bought this movie instead of rented it because it is that good!
