The "New Nightmare" flick by Wes Craven, is one of the most interesting horror films I've seen to date, and believe me, I've seen a lot!
Along with the terrific graphics and gruesome horror so typical to slasher flicks, and especially the Freddy series, this movie actually had a story line along with it!
Not just Chick A, B, C get offed over here, then decapitate Dude E over here!
It made you think!
It was definitely an great variation on an old idea, and not your typical sequel.
Craven is a genius!
What I thought made the movie particularly good, was the fact you didn't need to see all of the sequels to "get it".
So far, I've seen only the 1st film and this one, yet understood what was happening all through this film.
All the puzzle pieces were right there for you!
And it definitely inspired me to see more of the Freddy series, although this one tops 'em all, aside from maybe the newest one, "Freddy vs Jason".
What a way to resurrect an old favorite!
I recommend this film, but only if you have a strong stomach! |
