This is not a bad movie or a great one. It's merely a lesser quality copy of better movies.
Renee Zellweger saves it from bad by being beautiful. Although she does over indulge in her role sometimes. She shows the flashes that eventually made her a A-list movie star.
Gil Bellows is strictly a b-movie actor. He is guilty here of under acting. But, is not the main problem.
The main problem is the director. I don't know anything about him/her but this joint seems like a student film. It must have been one of their first efforts directing.
The main drag on this movie is the dialogue. It seems contrived and burdened w/ cliches. The writing isn't original like "Pulp Fiction". The characters are not original by any stretch of the imagination.
Overall, this movie was better when it was called, "Pulp Fiction", "Natural Born Killers" and "True Romance" |
