outrageous action yet confusing plot

This movie was a bit outrageous in the action sense. Flying through the air, walking on top of trees, exploding bodies, using a bow to lauch into the air, its just too much at times. Although the finale end scene was pretty good the overall movie was just not understandable. I think its the overdubs. It made no sense at times.
If you are a kung-fu fan then rent this, it has plenty of sword play and kung-fu to satisfy. Plus I am a fan of all the main actors but this one wasn't the best movie to showcase their talent. The plot is well not very good but you'll get a kick out of the outrageous high speed fighting. Yeah they didn't have much of a budget for special effects so its quite comical to see heads get chopped off "fake" bodies, exploding bodies, Donny Yen flying through a body!?
Overall you will be entertained if you enjoy sword play movies. |
