If it wasn't for the charisma of the actors and the great choreographed fights, I might label Once Upon a Time in China a failure because of a muddled plot. There are so many different factions in this movie, you might want to take notes to see if you get it all by the end. It's all very unneccesary, and a simpler story would have served the kung fu action well.
Anywho, it's worth watching for the amazing action and the charismatic actors, but not much else. |
