Night Fire is one of those late night Skinamax movies that's simply a softcore porn with a paper thin plot thrown in.
A borderline abusive husband is frustrated by his frigid wife so he hires a "amoral" couple to basically just have sex all the time in hopes that it will turn his wife into a nympho. It later turns out that he doesn't really care and actually wants to kill his wife to get all her money, and us the couple as a frame up. This plot and how it's acted out is ridicoulous, and the holes are frequent and gaping.
The acting is absurd. I would say the only acting of ANY caliber is Rochelle Swanson. She doesn't have much of a part to play, just the female half of the nympho couple, but at least when the movie has it's 5 seconds of drama she plays a convincing part. Hewitt and Tweed and paper cut outs of human beings. Laughlin's actually been in a couple of movies you've heard of "The Rock" and "Lawnmower Man", but his performance is also god awful. Maybe it was just the script for his character, I dunno.
If yer lookin' to get yer rocks off to soft porn, well here's an okay movie for that, but after the first hour the nudity diminshes and they try to convince you this is a real movie here. Yeah, they're wrong. |
