Woo deliver's another fast-paced action film

Hard Boiled may not have as much heart as the killer or as much intensity as Face/Off but Hard Boiled is still fun to watch. Chow Yun Fat (who has been in several of Woo's movies) plays Inspector Yuen who's determined to go after the group of arms dealers that killed his first partner. He discovers that they are have close ties with triads and the action begins. Several groups enter and a battle begins. Action is still great but seems to be all seen before in other John Woo movies. The one liner aren't nearly as amusing and the lengthy gun fights get in the way a little too much. That's not to say this isn't worth watching it's just a little more of the same. Still worth a look. |
