This has to be one of the best Basketball movies ever. It has Shaq and Penny as top prospect players the Coach Pete Bell (Nick Nolte) recruits for Western University. This movie does show the side of College Basketball many want to believe doesn't happen. The paying of premier players to come play for a certain school. Is this is morally right or wrong, who knows? I really liked the way they portrayed Shaq in this movie. He happened to be one of the more intelligent and likeable people in this movie. It was a great story line to show how a coach decides to cheat the rules and then tries to make up for it when the guilt becomes to great. If you haven't seen this movie yet, go ahead in rent it soon. I have ranked this movie #351 out of the top 500 movies of all time. |
