I've never read the book, so I'm going to judge this entirely as a movie. This movie emotionally impacted me in so many ways. Leonardo DiCaprio steals the show with an excellent, accurate performance of an mentally retarded boy. The way the family stuck together is what moved me the most. The burning down the house is a bit weird, but other than that, go see it. The acting is terrific. |
