This movie really couldn't have been any better. It's story alone guaranteed it's success- an awesome vacation turned into a life or death escape adventure.
The loss of electric power in the high technology amusement park released all of the dinosaurs. The T-Rex chase was somewhat predictable, although it was made up for by the Raptor chases in the Visitor's Center (although in reality I would bet that the dinosaurs would have easily found the children with their sense of smell).
Hamelton chose to ignore the advice everyone was giving him, and ultimately lost his dino paradise. The exploration of the island by Dr. Grant and the children was aslo exciting.
The visuals including the Visitor's Center and the electric fences were perfect. This movie also inspired one of the best video games for the Super Nintendo system.
It's certainly one of my favorite films of all time. If only the sequels were as good as the original... |
