Kurosawa's excellent work, Rhapsody in August, tells the story of A-bomb with a calm, peaceful and serene mind which can only be done by a master like Kurosawa. The visuals are a blessing for the eye: Ants walking on a rose stem, for example, so elegantly present Kurosawa's message for tranquility, peace and wisdom after all the sufferings that Japan had experienced during the war. |
